Seventeen people applied to fill a vacancy on the District U46 School Board, but only 10 of the applicants were granted interviews by the school board, records show. Auditions for the Schaumburg Summer Theater production of "Ragtime" at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts will be May 22 and 23.
