A suburb north of Atlanta Roswell began its life in 1830 as the location of the largest cotton mill in Northern Georgia. The area became an official city in 1964. Roswell contains eighteen different parks and is the host to the Riverside Sounds Concert Series as well as the Roswell Roots Festival, a festival of black history and culture in the area.
