On Nov. 13 around 6:08 a.m. police were contacted about a vehicle stolen on Dubois Street. The complainant told police she had parked her BMW X5 in her driveway at 7 p.m. the night before and noticed at 6 a.m. the vehicle was missing.

Veterans may sue over discharges they say were result of untreated mental health problems

A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday certified a proposed class action from tens of thousands of Navy and Marine Corps veterans who say they were discharged for reasons related to their service-connected mental health problems-and then couldn't seek treatment at the VA because their discharges were other than honorable. The Associated Press reported Friday that a New Haven, Connecticut, federal judge has certified a class that could include thousands of former sailors and Marines who received what they say were unfair "other-than-honorable" discharges because of behaviors connected to a service-acquired mental health problem.

Norwich - The union representing supervisory workers at Norwich Public Utilities has withdrawn three labor complaints against NPU General Manager John Bilda, and NPU on Monday rescinded a unilateral promotion and raise Bilda had arranged for an NPU division manager that prompted the complaints. The Board of Public Utilities Commissioners on Thursday voted unanimously to place Bilda on indefinite paid administrative leave following a 2 ½-hour closed-door session to discuss a federal indictment of Bilda and four other officials from a regional electric cooperative on four criminal counts of public corruption.

Lawsuit: Yale removed depressed student from campus

A Yale University graduate is suing the Ivy League school on allegations she was wrongly removed from campus after she sought counseling for depression as school officials worried about more negative publicity following two student suicides. A store owner in the area is heading to prison after buying stolen property from boosters - typically those with opioid addictions - and reselling the items for more than $1.5 million. Paul William Muzyka of North Haven was sentenced to 54 months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release, for his role in a large-scale fencing operation that he ran out of his secondhand store.
