2 Arrested For Weapons And Drugs After Crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle crash Tuesday on I-81 that resulted in weapons and drug charges. According to warrants, a 2000 Honda Accord drove into the median, swerved back across the roadway and rolled before coming to rest in the treeline.

Johnson City Man Arrested, Passenger Injured Following Crash

Kobey D. Walton, 21, of 120 Christa Drive, Johnson City, was arrested for reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to exercise due care Sunday night after crashing a 2000 silver Mazda on Old Stage Road, warrants say. Greeneville Police officers responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle and located Walton six hours later at Zoomers in Tusculum.

Funeral services for Homer Bishop Holliman, age 98, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
