Woman sentenced for 2017 crash that killed Decatur native

A woman pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide this week for an accident that killed Decatur native Dr. Robert Todd Long, 86, in Florence last year. As part of the plea agreement in Lauderdale County Circuit Court, Tiffany Balentine was sentenced to 51 months in the Alabama Department of Corrections, but that sentence will be served under felony supervision of Lauderdale's Community Corrections Program.
