Two men arrested after allegedly dragging teen by car in Dorchester Friday night

Two Boston men were arrested early Sunday for allegedly closing a car window on the arm of a teen they were buying a smart phone from and dragging him at a high speed for several blocks, causing life-threatening injuries, State Police said. Dejon W. Barnes, 18, of Dorchester, and Kenneth R. Ford, 23, of Roxbury, were both charged with unarmed robbery, and are expected to face more charges, State Police said in a statement Sunday.

Veteran to receive 21-gun salute in East Boston

Boston Police advise that around 1:30 p.m. Charles DiGiacomo will receive a 21-gun salute at the Ruggiero Funeral Home on Saratoga Street, to honor his service in the Army - he fought in both World War II and the Korean War and who was an Army reservist for 40 years. In addition to his military service, DiGiacomo was a machinist at MIT and Draper Labs and an aerospace specilist who worked on the Apollo and space-shuttle programs.
