Boy Steps Into Path of Vehicle in Wheeling

A young Wheeling boy stepped into traffic and was struck by the passenger side mirror of a vehicle in the 400 block of Warwood Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. today, according to Wheeling Police. An armed robbery suspect remains at large after making off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Up on the Lane cafe on Edgington Lane shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday. Wheeling police responded to the cafe where an employee inside said that the suspect - described as a shorter white male, wearing a mask, jeans and a blue jacket - had what appeared to be a firearm.
