Four students from Tracy High School earned top honors Saturday at the San Joaquin County Office of Education's H2O Hackathon, where students used technology to try to tackle some of the state's water problems. Since it was impossible for any of them to create an app to make water out of nothing , they did the next-best thing.

Farmers might not get full water supply

Some farms and cities south of the Delta may not receive a full supply of water from the estuary this year, despite a super snowpack, reservoirs that have surged above normal and an ongoing flood threat on some rivers. Motorcyclist dies in Fremont collision

The man, who had not been identified pending notification of his next of kin, was driving his Ducati motorcycle on Christy Street near Auto Mall Parkway around 2:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to the Fremont Police Department . Fremont: Body found in area of Alameda Creek

Authorities were not able to confirm immediately if a body discovered in the area of Alameda Creek on Thursday night is that of a Tracy woman missing for more than a month. Jayda Jenkins, 18, went missing after her silver 2000 Honda Accord veered off Niles Canyon Road and into the creek on Jan. 21. Rescue workers searched the area extensively after the crash but did not locate her.
