Wyandotte police believe they've taken a dangerous felon off the streets after arresting a man who allegedly sold cocaine to an undercover officer at a downtown bar. Eric Steven Hill, 38, whose last known address was in Taylor, was arraigned Nov. 16 before 27th District Judge Randy Kalmbach.

Griffins to be mascot for Taylor High School

The mystical beast known as the Griffin will arise from the merger of the Kennedy Eagles and the Truman Cougars and be the mascot for the new combined high school, known simply as Taylor High School. Superintendant Ben Williams said that creating a unified name for the school made sense when he spoke recently with the News-Herald.

Woman bound over for trial in Burlington shooting death

The 49-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting her coworker at a Burlington store in Taylor on Oct. 16 will stand trials on charges of first-degree murder and felony firearm. She was bound over for trial in Detroit Circuit Court Monday morning.
