Canoers discover a man's body in Taunton River

Taunton police said the body found in the Taunton River Saturday evening appears to have been in the river for an extended period of time. The body of a man, approximately 40 years old, was discovered by two people canoeing down the river in an area between Power Street and Duffy Dive at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, according to a press release from the Taunton Police Department.
