Shelby man accused of threatening shooting at Lakeside

Police say they have arrested a Shelby Township man who, according to law enforcement, is accused of threatening a shooting attack on Lakeside Mall. According to a statement from the Shelby Township Police Department, police heard of a "credible tip" March 9 that reportedly involved the planning of a domestic terrorist act directed at the mall, located near Schoenherr Road and M-59/Hall Road in Sterling Heights.

The Shelby Township Police Department received a tip Friday morning about threats 20-year-old Tyler Tindell allegedly made against the Lakeside Mall. Detectives and tactical officers from all three police agencies worked to locate Tindell while the Sterling Heights Police Department stepped up patrols at Lakeside Mall and surrounding businesses.

Trench collapse near Mound kills worker
