Virginia State Police have identified a 17-year-old boy that was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 south early Thursday morning. Officers say Dante V. Latora, 17 of Portage, Michigan, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet and was heading south on Interstate 95 when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a sign, and hit a tree.

Howling winds wreak havoc of downed trees, traffic issues

Police release names of victims in wrong-way U.S. 131 crash

Police have released the names of the three people killed and two people injured in a wrong-way crash on U.S. 131 at Stadium Drive. Kalamazoo County sheriff's deputies have identified the two people in a Ford Fiesta -- which entered southbound U.S. 131 going north about 4:40 p.m. Friday, March 3 -- as 59-year-old Mark Witsaman and 88-year-old Elma Witsaman, both of Portage.
