Lake Huron is located in eastern Michigan at the base of Lake Huron. It was established in 1814 as Fort Gratiot and is considered to have been the first Euro-American settlement in the area. In the 1850s the population grew dramatically due to a successful shipbuilding and lumber trade, and in 1957 the city was incorporated as Port Huron. MDOT to rebuild Pine Grove-10th Ave. corner

MDOT project will turn Scott Avenue approaches into cul-de-sacs, revamp 10th and Pine Grove from six to four lanes through Pine Grove, 10th, and Scott avenues will be reconstructed next year. The current six-lane intersection will be converted into a four-lane intersection with straight-through lanes on southbound 10th and Pine Grove.

Police investigating rollover, spin-out crashes
