In 2007, the city of Oak Lawn, Illinois began hanging additions to stop signs. This was the idea of the city President in an effort to encourage drivers to obey the stop signs. Police: Delivery driver robbed by brother, sister duo in Oak Lawn

Oak Lawn police said Tuesday that a brother and sister have been charged in connection with an armed robbery that took place Monday at the Airway Trailer Park in the village. Brittany Steele, 21, a resident of the trailer park, and her brother, 19-year-old Willie B. Steele, of the 17100 block of Apple Tree Drive in Country Club Hills, were each charged with one count of armed robbery, police said.

One man was critically wounded and two other men were shot within minutes of one another Monday afternoon in separate shootings in Chicago, police said. In the most recent attack, a 24-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the 5700 block of South Artesian Avenue just after 4:15 p.m. in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to a police media notification.
