5 car crash on the Pike in Newton sends 4 to the hospital

A five-car crash on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Newton sent four people to the hospital Wednesday evening, State Police said. The crash occurred near Exit 17 around 6:45 p.m. It was not immediately clear Wednesday night what had caused the crash, said State Police Trooper Paul Sullivan.
