The Solano AIDS Coalition has shut down its boutique over what the organization's founder and director said is a dispute with the property owner over high levels of mold and other unhealthy conditions that have left him and several others ill. Mario Saucedo, executive director of the coalition, said in an interview at his Vallejo home Friday, that he had no choice but to shutter the retail shop and his office after an environmental review April 28 by Bay Cities Mold Inspection Services, and an accompanying lab report by EMLab P&K, show "extremely high" levels of mold.

Rain delays cost American Canyon Boys & Girls Club $1 million-plus, building starts anyway

AMERICAN CANYON >> After having raised the nearly $5 million they thought they'd need to build American Canyon's new Boys & Girls Club clubhouse, this past winter's rains delayed the work and increased the price, organization officials said. The project developers are Newport Beach, California - based David and Andrew Wood of Stratus Development Partners LLC , and construction is expected to begin in September 2017.
