A grassroots group trying to bolster East Contra Costa Fire District has started collecting money to make more residents aware of the struggles the cash-strapped agency is having. Century-old historic winery building can now be demolished in Livermore

A 106-year-old historic winery building was given the green light by Livermore City Council to eventually be demolished and make way for potential new housing and retail space.
