Official: Delayed start at Copiague high school after bomb threat

Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School delayed the start of school by two hours Monday after receiving a bomb threat, a school spokeswoman said. Police confirmed there were officers at the school Monday, but could not provide details or say if it was in reference to a threat.

It was the 2nd such national student walkout to protest gun violence since the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Students from the District assembled near the White House, before marching to the Capitol with chants of "enough is enough" and "vote them out".
