A 54-year-old Haverhill woman received a 5-year prison sentence Tuesday for her role in a sprawling heroin ring that sold drugs to customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, authorities said. Twelve people were arrested Friday in connection with a major heroin and fentanyl trafficking operation in Essex and Middlesex counties, Attorney General Maura Healey's office said in a statement.
