The 30th edition of the World's Longest Yard Sale , or the 127 Corridor Sale, will take place Aug. 3 through 6. Cherokee County man dies in two-vehicle wreck in Piedmont

A Cherokee County man died on Monday after his vehicle collided with a dump truck in Piedmont, according to officials. Ryan Paris, 32, was in a two-door Chevrolet Tahoe on Old Piedmont Gadsden Highway in west Piedmont when the SUV collided with a dump truck, Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown said by phone on Monday.
