Everett is located in eastern Massachusetts, near Boston. The city was originally a part of Charlestown, and later of Malden. When it was incorporated in 1870, residents decided to name the new city in honor of politician and educator Edward Everett. Boston police arrested an Everett teen Friday morning in connection to the nonfatal stabbing of a man downtown over a week ago, according to police.
