Sheriff's officers seize stolen gun, arrest 2 at county park

NEWARK -- Essex County sheriff's officers on Wednesday night arrested two men on drug and gun charges after a traffic stop at a park in East Orange turned up a stolen .40-caliber handgun, authorities said. Devonne Caldwell, 20, of East Orange, and Aljamu Goines, 22, of Newark, have both been charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon, receiving stolen property and possessing a controlled dangerous substance, according to a statement from Sheriff Armando Fontoura.
