Police: Marijuana, cocaine found in house

Police stopped Gerardo Martinez, 29, in a traffic stop and took him to his Forsyth home, located at 802 Steven's Creek Lane. Detectives from Macon County and Decatur law enforcement then executed a search warrant at that address, where they say they found marijuana, cocaine and cash in that search.

Seventy-eight percent of district superintendents surveyed believe they have some degree of problem with teacher shortages, according to a report by the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools. The problem appears most pronounced for bilingual and foreign language teachers as well as school psychologists, according to the report.

A Decatur man is accused of raping a woman who went home with him from the bar. Decatur police arrested Marvin Smith, 54. He's accused of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a 30-year-old female.
