DPD Make Arrest in Saturday Night Murder

November 20 - Shortly after 3pm Monday afternoon, Decatur Police Detectives arrested 26 year old Keirsean M. Bond of Decatur on charges of 1st Degree Murder and Armed Robbery. Bond was arrested in the case of the Saturday night murder of 48 year old Todd Feldkamp, which happened in the area of 1660 North Edward Street on November 18th.

Numbers show as of October 31, 2017 there have been 82 shootings. Of the 82, 37 shots were attempts and did not strike a human target and 45 shootings were hits where the intended person was stuck.

Decatur Police investigate shooting death

The Herald & Review reports that the body of Todd Daniel Feldkamp of Effingham was discovered Saturday night by police responding to a call of shots fired in the area shortly before 9 p.m. Police say they also found a wounded 25-year-old Effingham nearby. That man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for what police describe as "serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
