DECATUR, Ill. Police say a man has been charged in a crashed that killed a 17-month-old earlier this month.

Sexual assault charge dropped against Decatur man

According to court records, a sexual assault charge against Quintin Jarrett, 40, has been dropped. Jarrett was initially arrested in connection with an alleged incident that happened in Decatur on May 13. Decatur police say a woman told officers that a man had sexually assaulted her in a home in the 600 block of East Cantrell Street.

HSHS St. Mary's Hospital raising awareness of strokes

Officials say the open house will be held in HSHS St. Mary's Hospital's main lobby in Decatur from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Attendees will be able to learn more about warning signs and risk factors for strokes, and can receive blood pressure screenings, exercise and healthy eating tips, and information on the hospital's primary stroke center and stroke support group.
