Three lanes are blocked this morning on northbound Interstate Highway 280 just south of Serramonte Boulevard in Daly City due to an overturned vehicle, according to California Highway Patrol officials. The incident was reported at 5:13 a.m. and involved a white sedan that overturned and is blocking lanes, CHP officials said.

A convicted sex predator has been arrested after California cold case detectives found DNA evidence linking him to the murder of a 19-year-old woman more than 40 years ago. Leon Melvin Seymour, 71, was charged with murder on Wednesday in the April 1976 stabbing death of Denise Lampe, 19, in Daly City, California.

More than 41 years after a 19-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in Daly City, investigators believe DNA evidence linking a 71-year-old convict and known sexual predator to the case is taking them one step closer to justice. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said prosecutors have been investigating Leon Melvin Seymour and his connection to the murder of Peninsula woman Denise Lampe who was found dead in her car at the Serramonte Shopping Center.
