An Antioch man remained hospitalized Sunday after being shot by police officers while trying to flee a traffic stop, police said. The shooting happened about 5:30 p.m. Saturday after officers pulled over a car in the 1500 block of Allegro Avenue, near Clayton Road, police said.

A 40-year-old Antioch man who was wanted in a domestic violence case remained hospitalized Sunday after being shot and wounded by police officers the night before in Concord, authorities said. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Saturday when officers stopped a vehicle on the 1500 block of Allegro Avenue, near Clayton Road, during an investigation of the domestic violence incident that happened earlier that day in Antioch, according to the Concord Police Department.
