Cheyenne Mountain, Mueller state parks giving dogs on trails a test run | Colorado Springs Gazette, News

Beginning June 1 and running through the end of August, leashed dogs will be permitted on specified trails in both parks, Cheyenne Mountain outside of Colorado Springs and Mueller near Divide. Whether the policy sticks around will depend on dog owners following the rules, the dogs' impact on wildlife and the reaction of other park visitors - "there is no guarantee the experiment will even last three months if pet owners abuse the new policy," a Colorado Parks and Wildlife news release warned.

Colorado Springs among airports where TSA is testing separate electronic device screening

Travelers at the Colorado Springs Airport and nine other U.S. airports, including Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Phoenix, are being asked to place electronic devices bigger than a cellphone in separate bins so that they can be examined more closely. Authorities seek man who hurled table at woman in Colorado Springs brewery

Authorities are searching for a man who threw a table at a woman at Pikes Peak Brewing Co., then hit her in the face and drove away with her cell phone.
