Trucks reported stolen from two Athens rental offices

The Enterprise car rental office on Oak Street in Athens will be pressing charges against a woman who apparently has stolen a rental vehicle, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report. A manager of the rental office told police Wednesday that a 25-year-old Jefferson woman rented a 2017 Ford F-150 Super Crew pickup truck on March 9. The vehicle was supposed to have been returned the next day, but was not brought back to Enterprise.

Athens shoplifting suspect hides from police in bathroom

A 37-year-old College Station Road woman attempted to hide in a downtown restaurant's bathroom after attempting to take four tank tops from a nearby clothing store on Wednesday, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report. Kristina Keith Summers, of 1048 College Station Road, apparently took a couple of the items - the four tops were valued at a total of $80 - from Pitaya at 282 E. Clayton Street and then went to the Mellow Mushroom, a nearby restaurant.

UGA group hosting Monday film screening for Autism Awareness Month

April is National Autism Awareness Month, and members of the Athens community are invited to learn more about autism and the clinical services offered by UGA's Applied Behavior Analysis Clinic at Automatic for Autism's free movie screening and discussion panel at Cine, 234 W.
