Anderson man faces felony child molestation charges

A man is under arrest after authorities say the mother of his juvenile victims reported his possession of child pornography and child molestation. Michael Maddox, 27, and Elwood, faces preliminary felony charges that include child molestation, vicarious sexual gratification, child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to a minor.

Body identified as Fortville man

Police are investigating the death of a Fortville man who's body was found in Fall Creek near County Road 650 West early Wednesday. According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, members of the Ingalls Fire Department who were walking the creek's banks found the body of Zachary Sanner, 23, about two hours after receiving a call about a person who reportedly had fallen into the water.

Police say the teen was driving west on SR 38 between Pendleton and Markleville when he crossed the center line and struck and eastbound car. The teen was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson.

Madison Co. authorities investigating fatal crash

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, the deadly accident happened just east of County Road 150 West between Pendleton and Markleville just before 4:45 p.m. Deputies say an early investigation indicates that a westbound vehicle began veering across the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle head on. 17-year-old killed in crash

Sarah Overby, 17, of Greenfield, was a backseat passenger in a car that crashed around 1 a.m. Tuesday along State Road 9, just north of the intersection with County Road 1000N. Investigators say the driver, 20-year-old Jonathan Castillo of Greenfield, likely lost control of the car as he was heading south through a curve in the roadway.
